We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit surgicalstandard.eu, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.

What happens when you visit this website
This website is hosted on Squarespace, operated by Squarespace Ireland Ltd, Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland. When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits data that is stored in server log files:
- your IP address
- date and time of the request
- the page or file requested
- browser type and version, and your operating system
- the website you came from, if any
This processing is necessary in order to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Squarespace.
The photographs on this website are not stored on Squarespace but on our own server at api.eyecre.at. When your browser loads those images, your IP address is transmitted to that server, which is operated in Austria on our behalf. Legal basis and purpose are the same as above.
Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are technically necessary to display it and to protect it against misuse. These do not require your consent and are not used to analyse your behaviour. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and configure your browser to refuse them. If you block technically necessary cookies, parts of this website may stop working.
If you contact us
This website has no contact form. If you write to us by email or call us, we process the data you provide, such as your name, your email address or phone number, and the content of your message, in order to answer you and to deal with whatever follows from your enquiry. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a possible collaboration, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We keep this correspondence for as long as it is needed for that purpose, and beyond that for as long as statutory retention obligations require, in particular under Austrian commercial and tax law.
Who receives your data
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on for advertising purposes. Data is only made accessible to service providers who process it on our instructions and who are bound by a data processing agreement, specifically our website host, the host of our image server, and our email provider. Beyond that, we only disclose data where we are legally obliged to do so.
Transfers outside the EU
Our contractual partner for hosting is based in Ireland. Squarespace belongs to a group with a parent company in the United States, so processing in the United States cannot be excluded. Such transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain information about the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to have processing restricted, to receive your data in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these, write to request@eyecre.at.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy whenever the website changes or the legal situation requires it. The version published here is the one that applies.
